TAKEOFF 2026

TAKEOFF is Flygsektionen's career day, a career fair for students at KTH. It is aimed primarily at the 500 students on the Farkostteknik master of science in engineering programme, but since Farkostteknik is one of KTH's broadest programmes, the organisers say the fair suits students from all programmes. In terms of courses, Farkostteknik sits somewhere between Maskinteknik and Teknisk fysik, and after three years students choose one of 15 master's programmes. Compared with other fairs such as Armada, TAKEOFF is a smaller fair focused mainly on vehicle engineering and engineering physics. Companies exhibit to make contacts, show what they do and stand for, and recruit future engineers for things such as summer jobs and degree projects. The fair runs 10.00–16.00 in Tekniska Högskolans Kårhus, Nymble. There is also an evening event, which gives students and companies the chance for more personal contact. Ahead of the career day, exhibiting companies can also book lunch lectures.
